I am building Comfort Ledger because I got tired of apps that request bank access, fill the UI with ads, or lock basic features behind a paywall. The version you see is the one I use every month. It is in private beta so I can polish the experience with real users before public launch.

How much does it cost?
Beta is free. At public launch: $4.99/month or $39/year (about $3.25/month when billed yearly). You get a 14-day trial with no card, and you can cancel anytime — your data still stays on your device.

It is a subscription because the product keeps evolving (new categories, coach improvements, encrypted sync on the roadmap). You fund maintenance, not just a one-time app.
Is it secure? What about my data?
I do not ask for bank credentials or tokens. Everything you enter is saved in your browser localStorage on that device. You can export it to JSON anytime and wipe everything with one click.
Does the AI coach send my data to the cloud?
By default the coach is local: rules + your numbers run in the browser and nothing leaves your device. There is an optional cloud mode that sends your request (plus an anonymous summary) to OpenAI for richer responses. You choose when to enable it, and the rest of the app works without it.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The app is a PWA: install it from Safari or Chrome and use it like any app, including system reminders for rent, bills, and subscriptions.
Does it sync across devices?
Not yet, and I am explicit about it: each device is independent today. You can move data with Export/Import. End-to-end encrypted sync is on the roadmap.
Does it replace financial advice?
No. It is a clarity and habit tool. For legal, tax, or investment decisions, consult a professional.
